The answer is 4. You don't need to divide by 18 to get the answer. You can quickly divide 2 into the top and bottom of the fraction, giving you 677/9. You don't need to divide 677 by 9, because there's a trick to find the 9's remainder. Add 6+7+7, which gives 20, now add 2+0=2. The 9's remainder is 2, so the 18's remainder is twice this, because 18 is twice 9. You can find the 9's remainder of any number by adding together its digits, and the digits of the result if necessary until you end up with one digit. That will always be a number between 1 and 9. If it's 9 then the remainder is actually 0 otherwise it's the remainder 1 to 8.
