what is the intersection of y=2x-8 and y=-2/3x??
please help me im having a very harddddd time with this??!! ( :

1) y = 2x - 8
2) y = -2/3 x

Y will be the same value in both equations, so set the
equations equal to each other and solve for x.

2x - 8 = -2/3 x
2x + 2/3 x = 8
8/3 x = 8
x = 8 * 3/8
x = 3

Use equation 2 to solve for y.

y = -2/3 x
y = -2/3 * 3
y = -2

The intersection is the point where x and y satisfy
both equations: (3, -2)

1) y = 2x - 8
    -2 = 2(3) - 8
    -2 = 6 - 8
    -2 = -2

2) y = -2/3 x
    -2 = -2/3 (3)
    -2 = -2

y = 2x - 8

y = -2/3 x

As given 8x/3-8=0

8x/3=8

8x=24

x=3

And y = 2(3)-8

y = 6-8

y=-2

Intersect points are (3,-2)
