Just multiply numerator by numerator, and denominator by denominator,

for example, 2/8*1/5=2*1/8*5=2/40=1/20

if the fraction has the same  value of denominator, all you have to do is..                                                                  multiply the numetor ,  but before you multiply it make sure that you have factored it completely                                       so you can  directly cancel those nonsense :)
