Question: x+y=5,x-z=3,y-z=2 then x+z?

The equations can be rewritten as,

x = 5 - y   --- (1)

z = x - 3   --- (2)

y = z + 2  --- (3)

Substituting for y, from (3), into (1),

x = 5 - (z + 2)

x = 5 - z - 2

x = 3 - z

x + z = 3
