Question: 2x-9<18-x solve for x .

The inequality is:

2x - 9 < 18 - x   --- add x to both sides

3x - 9 < 18        --- add 9 to both sides

3x < 27             --- now divide both sides by 3

x < 9

Answer: x < 9
