Gorge has 30  more than dan. if peter has 3 times the amount that gorge has. find the amount that dan has, if peter has as much as gorge and dan.

J=dan+30

Peter=3*J=J+dan

This dont make nonsens...subtrakt j from both sides & yu get

2j=dan, or j=dan/2....kontradikt first statement that j=dan+30
