The length of a Rectangular .

The length of a Rectangular field is 20 m more than its breadth.If the the perimeter of the field is 280 m.what is its length.

y = length

x = breadth

y = x+20

P rectangle(280) = y*2+x*2

=(x+20)*2+x*2

=2x+40+2x

=4x+40

280 = 4x+40

240 = 4x

x = 60

y = 80                    ****ANSWER**** : The lenght is 80m
