(-8,-3)(-2,3)(4,9)

use (-8,-3) and (-2,3)                verify that it is the same line use (-2,3)(4,9)

M = -3-3/-8+2 = -6/-6 = 1           M = 3-9/-2-4 = -6/-6 = 1  Slope is the same so it is

use (-8,-3) into y-Yo = M(x - Xo)

y +3 = x + 8

y = x + 5

I verified the other 2 points and they are the same line.

to find the intercepts set x = 0 to get the y-intercepts.

y = 5 (0,5)

set y = 0 to get the x-intercepts

0 = x + 5

x = -5   (-5,0)
