The y intercept is where x = 0.

Normally you would use those two points to figure out the slope, then use the slope and one of the points to make point slope form, then bits of that equation around until you got to slope intercept form.

However, one of the points you have is (0,5), with x = 0 and y = 5.  That gives us the y intercept, which is y = 5.
