speed = distance/time  = 120 Km/ 3 hours = 40 Km/h

speed= distance/time = 120 Km/ 2 hours = 60 Km/h

60 Km/h +40 Km/h = 100 Km/h  /2 = 50

The average speed is 50.

I found both speeds and averaged them, your answer is 50.
