What is the : sign mean in 1:x=x:64, it's been along time since I had this

I am unsure of what the punctuational colon means in mathematical terms. Been a long time since I did this and it is bothering me.

(1/x)=(x/64)....

1=x^2/64

x^2=64

x=sqrt(64)

x=+-8
