 x - 4/11 = 3/5

Adding 4/11 to both sides:

 x  = 3/5 + 4/11

Which is fraction addition - find the Least Common Multiple which becomes the new denominator, scale up both fractions to the new denominator, and then do the arithmetic.

= ((3 x 11) + (4 x 5)) / (5 x 11)

= 53/55
