All you have to do is substitue 2 for the X value in the problem solving for Y and it will look like this 3x2-2=4 so Y=4 then subtitute 4 for Y to solve for Z which would look like this 3x4-2=10 so Z=10 an subtitute 10 for Z to find W.

3x10-2=28

W=28

If y = 3x - 2,  z = 3y - 2, and w = 3z - 2,

What is the value of w when x = 2?

y = 3*2 -2

y = 6-2 = 4

z = 3y - 2

z = 3*4 - 2 = 12-2 = 10

w = 3x - 2

w = 3*10 - 2 = 30-2 =28
