how do i graph y=15x+35

The Lakeside Marina charges a $35 rental fee for a boat in addition to charging $15 an hour for usage. The total cost y of renting a boat for x hours  can be represented by the equation y=15x+35.

a. Graph the equation.

b. Interpret the slope and y-intercept.

y=15x +35...strate line

slope=15

"y-intersept"=35

Answer 2

y=15x+35     x=3 (hours)         15x= slope  35= y-intercept

y=15(3)+35

y=45+35

y=$80 (including the $35 fee)

 

Now you just make the graph. Draw the second quadrant. Label your x and y axis. Graph your answer.
