The question describes a parallelogram, xywz, with one diagonal, zy, separating the triangles zxy and ywz.

Angle xyz=yzw, alternate angles between parallel lines.

zy is a common side.

Angles yxz and ywz are equal because they are opposite angles in a parallelogram.

The triangles are therefore congruent (AAS, a side and two angles).
