{[sqrt(5)+1] /2}^2.....

=(1/4)*[sqrt(5)+1}^2

=(1/4)*[5+1+2sqrt(5)]

=(1/4)*[6+2sqrt(5)]

=(1/2)*[3+sqrt(5)]
