Well take them place wise, ones, tenths, hundreds, thousands.. ect now 23.6, -45.2,50,-0.5,0.3,3.5,-4.5 from least to greatest is -45.2, -4.5, -0.5, 0.3, 3.5, 23.6, 50 now the number line first you draw a line and pick a scale to keep adding/subtracting for those numbers it looks like .2 or .4 would be better would cover most of those. Now your number line would read -3 -2.6 -2.2 -1.8 -1.4 -1 -0.6 -0.2 0.2 0.6 1 1.4 (you keep going up by .4) you want to get a scale that has most of the numbers you want in this case -2.8 would be in the middle of -3 and -2.6 and -1.5 is between -1.8 and -1.4
