solve 3x-y=9 using elimination
this is for algbra 1

Elimination requires TWO equations in two unknowns so that you can
add one of the equations to, or subtract one of the equations from, the other,
thereby eliminating one of the unknowns. That leaves you with one equation
with one unknown, which you can solve for. Then, by substituting that value
into the other equation, you can solve for the other unknown.

Until you supply a second equation, there is nothing that can be done
with this.
