2r-(5-r)=13+2r          solve for r

2r - (5 - r) = 13 + 2r
2r - (5 - r) - 2r = 13 + 2r - 2r
-(5 - r) = 13
-5 + r = 13
-5 + r + 5 = 13 + 5
r = 18
