-4.9t^2 +4t +10=0

t=-4 +/- sqrt(16 -4(-4.9)(10)) / 2(-4.9)

-4 +/- sqrt 212 / -9.8

(-4 -14.6) /-9.8 = about 1.9 seconds

the other answer is negative
