1 Answer

y = 6x - 5

y = -x + 9  since they are both y = ? set them equal to each other

6x - 5 = -x + 9

6x + x = 9 + 5

7x = 14

x = 2

plug into one of the equations to get y.

y = -2 + 9

y = 7
