slope = (4 - (-2))/(5 - (-3)) = 6/8 = 3/4

rise/run (rise ver run which means while reading to the right bbetween 2 points see how many units up it goes and then how many units right you have to go which would be the run so those numbers over each other would be the slope so in this case 6/8 and you need to simplify so 3/4
