Ok it looks like you must have reentered the problem correctly.
You need to solve for y first.
add 2 to both sides of the equation to cancel the 2 on the right side
1x+6=3y
Divide both sides by 3
y=1/3x+2
Once we have the equation in slope intercept form (y=mx+b) we know the slope is equal to the m value which is 1/3 and the y intercept is equal to the b value which is 2
To graph this we plot the y intercept first which is the point (0,2)
Then we use the slope to get the other points on the line. Since slope is the rise over the run we go up 1 and 3 to the right to get our next point which would be
(3,3)
