Find the value of x and y if the ordered pairs (2x-2, 3y-1) and (x-1, y+3) are equal.

If teh ordered pairts above are equal, then

2x - 2 = x -1 and 3y - 1 = y + 3

Modifying these wequations gives us,

2x = x + 1 and 3y = y + 4

x = 1 and 2y = 4, i.e. y = 2

The values of x and y are: x = 1, y = 2.    The ordered pair is: (0,5)
