I got this wrong on a quiz and I am trying to study for finals but I don't know the right answer.

-11 < -3a + 10 < 16

subtract 10 from each part

-21 < -3a < 6

divide by -3 in each part

dividing or multiplying by a negative flips the < and > signs

7 > a > -2

same as

-2 < a < 7
