Let's put this into some equation. We need to know the nightly rate which would be

29.10 times 1.5 (1.5 because it is 1 and one half the pay for night time hours)

We can say that 29.10*1.5= $43.65

$43.65 for every night hour worked.

So if we set up the equation this way

34r+17n=x

where r is the regular hourly rate of 29.10 and n is the nighttime rate of 43.65

plug in the numbers and you get

34*29.10 + 17*43.65=

$989.40 + $742.05= $1731.45
