problem: 58.5=3.5x-6

first step: add 6 to 58.5

second step: take the answer u got in the first step and divide it by 3.5(so you get x alone)

third step: the answer you get from dividing is your final answer, what x equals
by

58.5=3.5x-6

58.5+6 = 3.5x

64.5 = 3.5x

x = 64.5/3.5

x = 18.42
