(2x - 3)(x + 4)
= (2x)(x) - (3)(x) + (2x)(4) - (3)(4)
= 2x^2 - 3x + 8x - 12
= 2x^2 + 5x - 12

1. Distrubute- 1st times the 1st, 1st times the 2nd, 2nd times the 1st, second times the second.

(2x-3)(x+4)

so, (2x*x)+(2x*4)+(-3*x)+(-3*4)

2. simplify the terms- remember to multiply the x and the coefficent sepperartly

(2x ²)+(8x-3x)+(-12)

3. Combine like terms

2x ² + 5x - 12

Good Luck! yes
