1 square = 4 match sticks.            2 squares = 7 match sticks.          3 squares = 10 match sticks.

Let s represent the number of squares and m the number of match sticks. Which of these shows the rule for calculating the number of match sticks needed?

m=4s+1.        m=4s.       m=3s+1.         m=s+3.         m=4s+3.

I'm stuck between the 1st and 3rd one.
