Really what you need to know is how many feet are in 30 meters.

First you need to know how many feet are in 1 meter.  You can look that up or memorize it. That number is aprox 3.2808ft.

we need to get rid of the m unit so we need that on the top left and bottom right

30m            3.2808ft

--------- x  ----------------

     1                  1m

meters cancel and we can multiply to get 98.424ft in 30m

rounding this to the nearest tenth we get 98.4ft/s
