3/8 of 4/9 is...

Of is similar to multiplying so...

you start by multipling across, take the numberators (top) and multiply (3 x 4 = 12) and the denimoniators (bottom) should be multiplied too (8 x 9 = 72).

So then your answer would be 12/72.

But hold it! You need to simplifiy the answer by 12 which will get you 1/6.

Final answer - 1/6
