Is the ordered pair (3,8) a solution to
the equation 3y + 2x = 8

If so, you can substitute the values into the equation
and it should work out.

3(8) + 2(3) = 8
24 + 6 = 8  XXXX

No, 30 does not equal 8, so the ordered
pair (3,8) is not a solution to the equation
