It depends on what the problem looks like.  Do you mean A or B below?

A:  (2  1/6) * (1  3/5) / (4/11) + 1/3

B:  (2  1/6) * (1  3/5) / (4/11 + 1/3)

A:  (2  1/6) * (1  3/5) / (4/11) + 1/3

make any mixed fractions into improper fractions

(13/6) * (8/5) / (4/11) + 1/3

the / can turn into a * if you flip the 4/11 like this:

(13/6) * (8/5) * (11/4) + 1/3

when you have fractions times'd together, you can combine them like this:

(13*8*11) / (6*5*4) + 1/3

1144 / 120 + 1/3

reduce.  divide the top and bottom of 1144 / 120 by 8

143/15 + 1/3

143/15 and 1/3 have different bottoms (denominators), so we can't add them together.

3 goes into 15, so 15 is the "least common multiple" of 3 and 15

multiply the top and bottom of 1/3 by 5

143/15 + 5/15

now the bottoms are the same, so we can add the tops (numerators) together like this:

(143+5) / 15

148 / 15

turn it back into a mixed fraction
