The quotient is what you get when you divide one value by another.

The quotient is the result of a division.

let the two integers be x and y. then

x/y = 1.4

x = 1.4*y

since x is an integer, then 1.4*y must also be an integer. If y is a multiple of 5, then 1.4*y will always be an integer.

let us choose y = 5. then x = 1.4*5 = 7.

Then two integers whose quotient is 1.4 are: 7 and 5.
