I am trying to find how I do fractions such as... when a person is taking 4 pills three times a day, what is 1/3 of that? Or, if a person takes 4 pills three times a day, how do I find 5/3, or what that would be adding on to the 4 pills 3 times a day, etc.?

you have several different questions here.

1/3 of 4 = 1/3*4 = 1/3*4/1 = 4/3 or 1 1/3

taking 4 pills 3 times a day = 12 pills daily. 5/3 of 12 pills= 5/3*12/1 =60/3 = 20 pills
