Is that -2xz or 2xz at the beginning?

If it's 2xz then:

(2xz + yz + 4x + 2y) / (2z + 4)

( (2x + y)z + 2(2x+y) ) / 2(z + 2)

(z + 2)(2x + y) / 2(z + 2)

(2x + y) / 2

x + y/2
