log8 (12)= 1.1949875002

log(x+10) - log(x-1) same as

log [(x+10)/log(x-1)]= log(12)

thus, (x+10)/(x-1)=12

x+10=12*(x-1)   =12x -12

x-12x=-12 -10

-11x=-22

x=2

x+10=12 & x-1=1, so (x+10)/(x-1)=12
