(5 & 2/3)*(4 & 3/4)

=(17/3) * (19/4)

=(17*19) /(3*4)

=323/12

=26.91666666...

or 26 & 11/12
by

5 & 2/3 would be changed into an inproper fraction (this is easier) which would be 17/3  then you would change 4 & 3/4 to an improper fraction which would be 19/4.


So the problem would be 17/3 x 19/4 =323/12 (then you would reduce it) = 26 & 11/12
