HELP ME!  I only need to set up the problem, not solve it.  Sorry i had to shorten the question, so it may not make sense, so here it is again:  

At a festival, Lizzi earned $7343.75 from running her food cart.  She sold hot dogs for $2.95 and steak sandwiches for $9.95.  If she sold a total of 985 items, how many of each item did she sell?

x+y=985   or y=985-x

2.95x +9.95y=7343.75

2.95x +9.95*(985-x)=7343.75

2.95x -9.95x +9800.75=7343.75

-7x =7343.75-9800.75=-2457

x=2457/7

x=351

y=985-x=985-351=634
