0.15 = (150.000/2,500,000)(2,500,000/x)

note that the 2,500,000 in numerator and denominator cancel out to make 1.

0.15 = 150,000/x

x = 150,000/0.15

x = 1,000,000

Help I'm trying to help my 5th grader with solving for x equations.  She "forgot" to ask the teacher for a sample on how to do these problems, and  I'm no help especially at 10pm on a Monday night.  If I could get a simple break down I could take it from there.

The problem is  finding the missing number;

1.  x divided by 37 = 22  What is x and how did you get to that particular number?  Thanks.
