11/4 = 2 and 3/4.

Answer:

11/4 is 2 3/4

How to get it:

Since 4x3=12 and the whole number isn't 12, you'd go to 4x2 which is 8. 11-8=3 so 3 is your remaining number and also the numerator. Since 4 is your denominator, you get 2 3/4.
