line 1: 7x-y=9

line 2: 9x-3y=3   or 3x-y=1, so y=3x-1

line 1: 7x -(3x-1)=9

7x -3x+1=9

4x=8

x=2

y=3x-1=3*2 -1=6-1

y=5
