2 + 3x = x + 2 + 2x
2 + 3x = 2 + 3x {combined like terms}
2 = 2 {subtracted 3x from both sides}
= infinite solutions

- When the variable disappears and you are left with a true statement,
such as, 2 = 2, then there are "infinite solutions".  This means x could be any number.

- If the variable disappears and you are left with a false statement,
such as, 1 = 2, then there is "no solution".  This means there is no number that x could be.
