This question comes up based on the equation 16/4(4)=  More than one have said that the answer is 1.  I maintain that it is 16.  But, then they state it is no different than the stated formula for this question.  My position is you know the value of the parenthesis so it is 4.  then you divide first then multiply.  Their position is you do the multiplication first beause if you didn't know what the value of the parenthesis is you would do that operand first then the division.
