If you know your times tables (wink) you can see that there are two eights in 16

i.e. 8x2=16

 

So this fraction can be simplified to become:

 

8/16 = (1x8)/(2x8) = (1/2)(8/8) = 1/2

The answer for that is 2 because dont do 8 over 16 divied 2 over 2 you have to divided 16 and 2 so you will get in the simplest  form is 2.
