y = (2/3)x

The y-intercept is at  (0,0). Set x =0 and y = 0.

To plot the graph, set up a "T chart" for various values of x generating values for y.

Another way is this:

We know that this is a linear equation; there are no squares, cubes, etc.

We know one point already (0,0).

We know the slope (2/3)

plot (0,0), then plot (3,2), set the straight edge on these two points, draw the line.

This equation is already in slope-intercept form (y = mx + b), m = 2/3, b = 0.

In standard form (ax + by = c), it will be (2/3)x - y = 0, a = 2/3, b = -1, c = 0
