How do you use systems of equations to solve the following story problem?

Kayla gets paid $6.00 for raking leaves and $8.00 for mowing each lawn of the neighbors around her subdivision. This year she mowed the lawns 12 times more than she raked. In total, she made $918.00 for doing both. How many times did she rake the leaves?

How do I set up a system of equations and then solve the system using linear combination?

assuming x times she raked the leaves

she mowed lawns x+12 times

6x + 8(x+12) = 918

14 x = 918-96

x = 58 (if the total is 908, otherwise x is not a whole number)
