Pythagorean Theorem

Question

Measure the width of your computer monitor to the nearest tenth of a cm or sixteenth of an inch. Measure the length of your monitor as well. Use Pythagorean Theorem to find the diagonal length of your monitor. Include the length, the width, and the calculations needed to determine the diagonal length of your computer monitor. After you have calculated the approximate length using Pythagorean Theorem, use a measuring device to measure the diagonal length of your monitor. Was your measurement close? Why might the measurements not be exactly the same?

when you measure, there will be always errors

for example, you may get a length of 21 inches and width of 17 inches, or whatever, when doing the calculation, it's likely that it's a irrational (square root) so there will be errors as well.
