3x^2 + 11.5x = 2
2(3x^2 + 11.5x) = 2(2)
6x^2 + 23x = 4
6x^2 + 23x - 4 = 0
6x^2 + 24x - x - 4 = 0
(6x^2 + 24x) - (x + 4) = 0
(6x)(x + 4) - (1)(x + 4) = 0
(6x - 1)(x + 4) = 0
6x - 1 = 0 or x + 4 = 0
x = 1/6 or x = -4
