i can manage fine when the coefficient of x is 1 but when it becomes more than that i start to struggle e.g. 4x etc.

Did you mean like


you need to find a and b such that

ab=4*9=36  and  a+b=12

Here a=b=6  works


=2x(2x+3) +3(2x+3)
